The SpectRx™ NIR System may be applied in any environment including a clean room environment as in the case of "Stent" analysis.
As stated previously, the proprietary SpectRx™ system is a very high speed “Near Infrared” on-line analytical system developed to identify the product chemical compositions, including multiple active ingredients at a rate of 80 objects/second or 160 objects/second using 2 probes. The SpectRx™ system is used mainly to analyze pharmaceutical, medical, chemical, and food products such as a gel ( Banner), tablets and capsules (Pfizer & Avantis), Stents (Fortne 10 - Medical and Pharmaceutcal Corporations). Also, the SpectRx™ is used in the Food Industry such as Swift & Co.-ConAgra).
To ensure, and guarantee complete product integrity with superior packaging performance, qualitatively, and qualitatively, American SensoRx, Inc., incorporated its two proprietary technologies in the FilleRx® pharmaceutical packaging system. The two proprietary technologies are the InspectRx® advanced vision system, and the SpectRx™ Near Infrared system.
American SensoRx, Inc., invented the InspectRx® and the SpectRx™ systems and their corresponding technologies; Patent Numbers 5,679,954, October 21, 1997, and Patent Number 5,900,634, May 4, 1999. Both the InspectRx® and the SpectRx™ systems can be incorporated with the FilleRx® system.
The SpectRx™ NIR system has been used extensively in the Stent products of a "fortune" mediacl and pharmaceurtical corporations, where it analyzed the 4 proprietary polymers, and the drug layer by weight deposited on the stent mesh surface.
Ortho McNeil, Johnson & Johnson was the first company to utilize the SpectRx™ system for tablet evaluation and measure the hardness and disintegration in 1994. Also, they have used the SpectRx™ system in evaluating and assessing Ortho McNeil's product compositions, and its manufacturing processes made in Japan, and the same product made in USA.
